Our auto[make|conf] gurus should make it not compile the mysql stuff
when not found. (I never install mysql I use postgreSQL. ;-) Bailing
out it not the right behaviour. Unfortunately, all that auto[make|conf]
stuff looks like spiderlegs to me. :-(
