In Russian it is "текст"
Or, let me propose once more (it's in my another mail, down the thread so I
afraid it can be lost...)
KWordPad.

with Wordpad. MS's WordPad even can save/open MS Word format, but in general
it is basic text editor, which can be used in several modes.
I don't want to say that we should copy Microsoft but words Write, Word,
Wordpad and Notepad are not patented by Microsoft.
From other side, they are easily recognized by Windows users.
