I'd actually really like to see it as a standalone RPM.  And in regards to 
whether its portable, thats what we're for, right? :)  I mean you can get it 
to work on your system, send it out with a big disclaimer in red with a 
bow-tie and let people beta test it.  But again, I'd really like to see it 
have its own RPMs because I'm anxious about KOrganizer integration and other 
such great stuff and it'll be hard without KPilot :(
