Hi,

I use Mode_switch to alter the behaviour of some keys of my keyboard
but I have a weird behaviour when using it in QLineEdit widget
if no modifier is applied then Mode_switch is mapped to Select All
that is if a text is entered and I press the Mode_switch key then all the text is selected

however the behaviour is correct if I use Mode_switch+shift for example.
it is particularly annoying in kmail when I want to type accentuated letters
using this system in the subject or the composer window

I have looked in various places(mailing listes, doc ..., keyboard settings in kcontrol) but didn't find
anything

so is Mode_switch without modifiers special ?
is this keyboard event handled in a special way for some widgets?

note that I have no problem with text editors like kwrite for example.
