The reduced count of fonts is obvious -- not all the fonts are supported bz 
the AA extension (so far I got it working with TT fonts only).

Concerning Konsole -- you might want to set the font to "Unicode", it's the 
one that ships with Konsole and the only one that's actually working for me.
