I'm a newbie here myself and am having a similar problem.  It seems if I want 
to use kdevelop to develop for the KDE then I am forced to use qt 2.1 but I 
have qt 2.3. I've looked but can't seem to get a make file generated using 
the build wizard. What to do? I looked for the 2.1 libraries but can't find 
them. I went  to the Troll website but no luck. So being new to Linux/UNIX in 
general, I'm not as savy as you veterens. ;-) Can you spare a few minutes to 
help a newbie?
