Subject: Bug#19526: pam broken

Package: kdm
Version: 2.1 Beta 2
Severity: crash
Installed from: RPMs from kde.org for RedHat 6.2

kde file in /etc/pam.d is overwritten by installation
(does not even save the old one!) with the nonfunctional
configuration (login is disabled as a result). The old
config file, when recreated, works.
The error messages are:
Jan 31 21:21:04 : PAM adding faulty
module:/lib/security/pam_stack.so
Jan 31 21:21:17 : PAM unable to
dlopen(/lib/security/pam_stack.so)
Jan 31 21:21:17 : PAM [dlerror:
/lib/security/pam_stack.so: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory]

(submitted via bugs.kde.org)

best regards
