There is an URL for a very good Java test site:
http://www.alik.cz/dome/hry - it's a Czech children's www site.
  You'll get the machine generated index and then You may test various games.
The "bad magic number" is caused by the "pexeso" game.
There are other ones which freeze the java VM so it must be killed to recover the
konqueror back to life (like arkanoid, tetris). In practice, no game works with
konqueror and SOME OF THEM work with Netscape (but it is VERY unstable). All of them
perfectly work on IE 5.0 run from vmware'd nt 4.0 :-(.
  I still tested the following jre's:
  Sun's jre 1.3 and 1.2.2 (the same results)
  IBM's jre 1.3 (immediately segfaults on my installation, even when starting java from
    the console, unusable)
  I'm going to test Blackdown jre.
