Nope, I thought of that after I posted the question:

.libs/kbzip2filter.o(.text+0x103): undefined reference to `BZ2_bzDecompressInit'
.libs/kbzip2filter.o: In function `KBzip2Filter::terminate(void)':
.libs/kbzip2filter.o(.text+0x264): undefined reference to `BZ2_bzDecompressEnd'
.libs/kbzip2filter.o: In function `KBzip2Filter::uncompress(void)':
.libs/kbzip2filter.o(.text+0x45c): undefined reference to `BZ2_bzDecompress'

Perhaps this needs to be upgraded?

I don't know how to tell if it's attempting to link into it. I compiled qt
with --system-zlib and the other way (local to qt, and QT is from todays
CVS), both with the same result.

I'm presuming this error is at the linker stage as other people have
gotten this to compile obviously.
