Hi,
is there a simple way to put a generic X (root window drawing) application as 
a background generator for kdesktop in kde 2.0 release?

There is 'background program' option in background settings, but it doesn't 
support x applications such as xmountains which draw pixmaps on the root 
window. Kdesktop seems to be always drawing the background over the root 
window. It would be nice thus to add an option to disable colored background 
when using 'background program' option.
