Just tried some more stuff. I Ctrl-C'd out of kbuildsycoca. dcopserver
is still running. I tried a killall dcopserver. It didn't die (should
it?) I did a killall -KILL dcopserver, which I don't like doing. I then
ran dcopserver --nolocal. Appeared to start fine. I then tried
kbuildsycoca again. Here is the process tree once more:

  888 tty1 S 0:00 login -- eprincen
  903 tty1 S 0:00 \_ -bash
  929 tty1 S 0:00 \_ sh /usr/X11R6/bin/startx
  934 tty1 S 0:00 \_ xinit /home/eprincen/.xinitrc --
:0 -auth /home/eprincen/.Xauthority
  935 ? S 0:06 \_ /etc/X11/X :0 -auth
/home/eprincen/.Xauthority
  939 tty1 S 0:00 \_ sh /home/eprincen/.xinitrc
  940 tty1 S 0:00 \_ xterm
  942 pts/0 S 0:00 \_ bash
 1051 pts/0 S 0:00 \_ kbuildsycoca
 1049 ? R 3:09 dcopserver --nolocal

dcopserver seems unhappy to me. Why? Additional debugging ideas?

-Eric ;-)
