yes, there is no algorithm to sort out the older ones yet.

there is no version numbering in the Netscape plugin api. I've just changed 
the search order in cvs. Now the plugin in the home directory is prefered to 
the global ones.

The first one is selected.

The plugins are stored in ~/.kde/share/apps/nsplugins/cache. You can change 
it manually if you want. The plugin viewer iterates through the list until it 
finds a suitable plugin for a given mime type. If you want to deactivate 
certain plugin, just delete the lines for that plugin.
I plan to add some administration features to the kcontrol module for 2.01 or 
2.1. Until now you have to edit the files manually. There is no way to add 
this for 2.0 because of the feature freeze.
