I am.  why start an embedded kword when a standalone kword does the job equally
well?

Konqueror is a file/web browser, therefore, utilities for this purpose should
be embedded, such as terminal emulation, an ftp client, http client, local file
browser, etc.  Then again, if you click a link in konqueror, since konq is
already open, why not embed a kword in a separate subwindow (see the button-bar
idea).  I don't really think that's a great idea though

That would be interesting - have a subwindow open up...heh.  Have a look at
knapster (see freshmeat - I don't remember the URL) sometime, you can
right-click files and click play/stop on them - it uses mpg123 in the
background.  The only bad thing is the lack of a status.

FileRunner looks horrid, but there's a lot of good ideas there, most of which
have already been implemented in konqi.
