Nah nah, mosfet, you're one month behind ;-)
kded is no longer required to run. And nobody can connect to kded anymore.
With this brand new technology called ksycoca, apps just do their stuff
themselves, using libkio.

kded is only there to maintain the ksycoca file up to date.
If it doesn't run, you don't get it updated when creating a
service/servicetype/mimetype.
Well, you'd get the update on the next login, since kded is in startkde.
