Yes, definitely worth having somebody taking the time to fix
those apps in order to make them consistent.

What do you mean by uppercase-accels ? Is it about the way they're written
(looks like we all use uppercase...), or is it about having to press
Ctrl+Shift+Key, which is a pain (and which I thought nobody used....)

I'm strongly in favour of this as well.
Ctrl-Q is a "de facto" standard. I think the current standards page doesn't 
reflect the majority of the opinions on this subject, but I might be wrong.
