while we're talking about bugs, this reminds me of something. Has the
following bug been fixed already? this is taken from corey, but I also
experience these crashes when using KCharset::setQFont(). the last 7
steps are always the same here:

It worked with Qt 2.0, but crashes with Qt 2.0.1
