This could work.  Two things about this, though:

1) They need to have a "name".  990525 doesn't cut it.  Alex had a suggestion
   to call them something like KO1.  I like that.  The KOffice KO1 Release
   sounds a lot nicer than koffice-990525.

2) The source package used to compile the binaries should be along side the
   binaries and *labeled* as such.  This is trivial but necessary to satisfy
   the "I'll only use things I compile myself" crowd.
