I don't have nor time nor knowledge to implement it in XFree, the way I've
said to do it (just the background, not real transparency) is enough for me
and doesn't waste too many cpu cycles, so I think it's ok.

Ah, if you don't like it, just don't use it, it's better than saying
it's wasted effort.
