Guys I started this thread, because I didn't realize that there was a light
already on the kpanel. Since, I have re-cvs'd and I think the light works very
nicely.  The only quam I have is that it would be better if it worked for
programs started out of kfm as well.

I think it is small enought that it doesn't take away from kpanel and it does
catch your eye, especially if you know it is there, because you will be looking
if you are wondering if your program started or not.  I think this is a good
solution, now we just need to make it work everywhere.
