Heh, well this is being worked on. Somehow it does not suprise me that CNN is
not using the KDE development CVS repository ;-)

Thinking more and more about this, I am thinking maybe it would be a good idea
to add something like busy(bool) to KApplication. 

This can be configured based on a user-defined KConfig entry to either:

a) Store the old cursor, switch it to an hourglass/arrow when true, then
restore the old cursor when switched back.
 
b) Switch on/off the KPanel busy blinker based on KWM module communication.

In this way, we can not only get feedback for things like spawning child
processes, but applications like kmail can also use it.
