or use auto-hide.

what do you experts need your taskbar for, and what do you experts need
your panel
for, that can NOT be covered by a hidden panel (auto-hide or hide with
the button
at the side? if you dont have a VERY good reason here, why make lemmings
the life
more difficult than necessary?
(uuuhhh ... english seems to be difficult ...)

i think the secret of success of kde is to combine the strengths of
differend desktop environments. and watching one of the zillion windows
users evangelised to use linux:
- switching between windows with a taskbar covered by another window
  (with the mouse)
- copying/pasting
(especially: copy an url out of another window to the url-field of
an open netscape/kfm, where the user wants to replace the url there)
breaks you the heart. they WILL use the keys afterwards, but they
all start with the MOUSE. ok .... one doesnt break you the heart ...
but if you see ten, and it wont stop, it breaks.

why do you think linux with this desktop is recognized as serious
challenge
for the lemming-ware? cause you have xsnow? or a middle mouse button?

no, i think its because its rock-stable, and usable.

rupert.
