There is a short shell script in kdesdk/kdedoc that finds perl 5 in the
system path, called "findperl". In the makefile.am there is also a shell
cmd to modify the kdoc file and insert the correct path into it. 

The configure.in file for kdoc can also serve as an example for using
findperl with autoconf, but you may choose not to for whatever reason.
