Which is documented to have limitations on certain platforms, like on Mac the 
corner widget may be unable to receive focus. On others, they may not be shown 
at all.

Applications must be able to deal with those limitations. Not doing so is a 
bug in the application and, like Aurélien said, will require fixing.
