There are applications that use more memory, because it is their normal 
behaviour (think image processing, aka krita, digikam,...). The 'ulimit' trick 
is better left to people who know what they are doing (so avoid to put in on a 
user website ;) ), and the *only* way to deal with a memory leak is to fix it.
