As a KMess developer, I say that I'd *love* being able to switch to an 
integrated component! I - and I'm sure also the other KMess devs - would also 
help developing it, if possible - I don't have a kde svn account yet though.

Visualization of a chat is tricky as it needs many components to work 
together. For example, it'd need something to allow changing parts of the 
shown document easily (ie changing a link like "Do you want to accept 
downloading file x?" to a "You accepted the file transfer" ). In simpler words 
it would be necessary for the new component to allow very easy interaction 
with the contents!
