Done.  That was filed against Dolphin, though.  The issue is common to many 
situations, so I'm hoping that the solution will also work for all :-)  Apart 
from the annoyance factor, allowing users to give a root password when 
actually required, and for a one-off job, is surely more secure than working 
either in a root terminal or in a gui application as root, for any 
considerable time.
