Hi Néstor,

You're not the first to suggest adding Tesseract (and Ocropus) support
to Kooka, see http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135253.  If you have
the necessary expertise and time then adding support for that would be
wonderful, as far as I am aware nobody is working on this at the
moment.

There is a SVN version of Kooka with lots of bugfixes and improvements
over the KDE3 version in kdegraphics, so this would be the best base
for you to use.  In particular, the OCR classes have been cleaned up
to hopefully make it easy to add new OCR engines.  See
http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Kooka for information on how to
access this codebase.
