i'll avoid re-hashing what others have said (c# bindings are worked on, mono 
may not be the best idea in the world, yadda yadda), but i will point out that 
there are also ruby and python bindings for KDE4; java and perl bindings exist 
for KDE3 in addition to ruby and python. so there's already a lot of choice.

i think if we compare the number of FOSS applications written in python, ruby 
and c# the importance of each language to the ecosystem becomes self-evident. 
i'm glad we have the choice of languages .. =)
