While I (partly) understand why it is supposed to be bad it (strangely) 
doesn't seem to be. On enabling OpenGL/Shared Memory together with 
InitialPixmapPlacement=2 my kwin's responsiveness went up.

But actually I've long stopped wondering about nvidia graphics issues... :-)
