Uhm? Who forces you to install dolphin? Though the KDE 4 version is really

Dolphin and Konq support KIO, so you can access FTP, SSH etc from both.

I doubt it will be cloned ;) but really, how many times a day do you configure 
your panel? It will be even better than the old menu, just give it some more 
time.

As discussed several times, that's quite easy to achieve, just no-one stepped 
up to implement it yet.

The default theme will in the end be up to the distros.
This is a matter of taste, but plasma is very flexible in that regard.
Changing the theme is two mouseclicks. I don't see how that would prevent you 
from staying away from KDE 4.
