Hi everyone,

First time I write here, so please tell me if I'm completely off topic...

I work on a small KDE4 project, called skrooge \
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/skrooge/, not much to see for the moment...), an \
application for personal finance management. We are currently 2 developpers, and \
we're learning KDE4 development while working on skrooge. I love the way Dolphin \
presents its "places" dock, and I would have liked to provide the same kind of Dock, \
but with a different content. It would contain things like "accounts", "banks", \
"operations", "reports"... you get the idea. I would like to have the same dynamic \
Icon resizing while resizing the dock.

Browwon
sing through Dolhin's code, I came across KFilePlacesView which seems to be what I'm \
looking for, but it seems completely linked to file management. My question is : Do \
you think it would be a good idea to make a kind of "enhanced KListView" managing \
this dynamic resize behaviour, that KFilePlacesView would inherit from ? This way, it \
could be available for whoever would like to use it out of a File context.

Thanks a lot for your wonderful work in KDE4,

Cheers,

Guillaume
