Piggybacking on the mention of monotone:

I haven't seen anyone mention monotone in the kde-scm-interest mailing list. 
We're there to discuss what we may use for KDE in the future. If someone in 
the monotone community (or anyone else for that matter) has interest in 
helping us, please join the mailing list.

Currently, the mailing list is 99% Git and 1% Mercurial.
