What intimidating words! In this case however, the choice is between 
copying files or giving up on an interesting Krita feature that Ben has 
just coded, so I think it's worth copying a few files. Thanks for your 
permission :)

I understand that copies are a bad idea in general. In this 
particular case however, things are different because here we're talking 
about mathematical algorithms implemented in plain C++ without any
dependency.

These algorithms don't get quickly outdated, and are very suitable 
for unit-testing so that bugs are quickly discovered.

And in our case, as far as I can see, it should be easy to sync whenever a 
new version of GMM is released. Especially as there are only .h files 
involved here (pure template libraries).
