Ultimately it seems that it comes down to the perception of the 'basic desktop' term \
people are throwing around.  I haven't seen an RFC for the 'basic desktop', yet \
(please read the sarcasm there), so I don't think anyone is truly qualified to \
determine what that desktop consists of.  Everyone has their opinion of what should \
be included, and there's bound to be disagreement.  It looks like Jaison is trying to \
drive the ultimate user experience, where a majority of options are available to the \
user, where Aaron is trying to drive the slimmer, install as you go approach, \
correct?

I'd say, as long as it's just as easy to find / install other apps as including them \
in the actual release, it shouldn't really matter...

Let's kill the thread...
