Possibilities are:
/etc/kderc
$KDEDIR
$KDEDIRS
$KDE_DATA_DIRS
$XDG_DATA_DIRS
$XDG_CONFIG_DIRS
$KDETMP
$KDEVARTMP

Make sure none of them point to KDE 3 files.
