Hi
I previously asked about invoking help from a panel applet, and I had
not solved the problem... but now I'm facing a similar problem with a
KDE application I'm developing.
I configured the application with
./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`
so that it is installed using the same prefix of KDE.
Thus I imagined that also (docbook) documentation would be installed in
the right place (it is installed in
/usr/share/doc/HTML/en/<myapp>
however when I run the application and invoke help, the KDE help center
cannot find the help file for my application.
This is due to the fact that KDE help files, in my distribution which is
Debian, are installed in /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML/en
so I'm wondering, is there a portable way to properly configure the
application with configure so that also the help files are installed in
the right directory in each distribution?
I.e., is there a similar --prefix=`kde-config --prefix` trick for
documentation?
many thanks in advance
Lorenzo
