Ok, then we are talking about the same thing.

That's the exact kind of code that I'm telling you you can expect to 
crash.

The point here is: people will compile Qt without exception support. 
Trolltech encourages doing that, so you can't blame it on the user with 
non-standard ABI options.

So you, as an application developer, are expected to not write 
applications that crash. It's as simple as that.
