i also just noticed that it doesn't support clicking on the edge of the window 
when maximized as a way to click the left/right-most buttons. the reason for 
doing this is Fitt's Law: you can just jam your mouse against the edge of the 
screen and click. very efficient.

if you click on a button, hold the mouse, move it off the button and then move 
the mouse over the button again the exit animation plays even though the fade 
in animation didn't (because it's pressed down). this looks odd and sort of 
ruins the illusion. probably best to just not showing the unhighlight 
animation when pressed.

pressed buttons don't have a visually distinct state, either. would be nice if 
they did.
