My kioslave doesn't provide mimetypes for files since it can't do it reliably.
For some files Konqueror guesses mimetype (based on file extension I suppose
- txt, png, patch, c, etc.) but for files without extensions or with unknown
extensions Konqueror displays "application/octet-stream". Why is this the
case if for example for ftp kioslave Konqueror displays "Unknown"? This
wouldn't rise my attention if it didn't cause Konqueror to "hang" after
clicking on such a file (I mean the gear in top right corner moves until
manually stopped). When I try to open any file with apropriate application
everything works just fine. How can I fix the problem?

Tomek

PS
Has http://webcvs.kde.org/ stopped working or is it only my problem?
