Hi Parag

Thank you for your help.  I set the paths and all that and was checking 
something and I found out that kded was still linked to my old qt.

Since kded is part of the kdebase I began to doubt wether or not I forgot to 
do a make install on it.  So I did anyway.  After that ldd kded shows linkage 
to the new qt.  So I start KDE and BINGO! it works again.
