No - what we NEED are to get the apps on Linux/*BSD up-to-snuff so that people 
don't stay on Windows "because the apps are there", as you so rightfully put 
it.

If the apps on Linux were up to snuff ( or identical -as in the case of 
cross-platform apps like FIrefox, and hopefully soon, KDE ), then the people 
would have no reason to stay on Windows anymore, because Unix has the edge in 
the remaining factors * - cost, security, and stability.

* This is, of course, assuming that you are using a distro with good support, 
since this is also a large factor.
