I like this reasoning.

Yes, and indentation styles are also a big annoying problem for me, because I 
like the opening bracket at the same level of the closing one, but it's not a 
popular choice. :-(

I like tabs too. IMHO, is the more meaningful character for aligning 
horizontally, isn't it? ;-)
