I believe that the bug as filed has been fixed, and therefore I have closed it.

However, my hypothesis is that there is still a problem.

It is possible that there is some interaction between an automounter and FAM 
that causes the CD-ROM to appear busy when it is not.  I'm not sure that this is 
a KDE issue, but users that have the problem do think that it is a KDE problem.

Since distros install an automounter by default, we probably need to address the 
problem.

Note: I don't use an automounter and except for the other bug:

I have no problem, IWFM.

You will also note from the comments that some newbies and users seem to think 
that you should be able to remove the CD-ROM even it it is busy.  I disagree, I 
think that this a feature.  Perhaps there should be a software override, but the 
normal behavior shouldn't be changed.
