Then all slaves are run by kioslave processes instead of kdeinits. :) 

FWIW, I'm currently running KDE with KDE_IS_PRELINKED and KDE_FORK_SLAVES 
(interestingly enough without noticable slowdown, despite it not being 
prelinked) and there are still three kdeinit processes: kdeinit: Running... 
(kdeinit), kdeinit: klauncher (kdeinit) and kdeinit: knotify (kdeinit). Are 
those supposed to be there?
