I'm having issues with the cvsservice ioslave on Mac OS X. As far as
I'm aware it's never worked, and I'm finally having some time to sit
down and figure out why.

When I attach to it, it dies with:

Program received signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS, Could not access memory.
0x0230cb18 in QString::QString(QString const&) ()

a backtrace gives me:

---(snip!)---
#0  0x0230cb18 in QString::QString(QString const&) ()

#7  0x8fe1a558 in __dyld__dyld_start ()

(dyld is the equivalent to ld.so on Mac OS X)

Any ideas what could be going wrong here? Seems a strange way to die...
