Ah, forgot to say:
It is not really competing with KWallet, as it transparently
replaces the KWallet _backend_ with an emulation. The user does
not recognize this. She can use her KWallet based applications
as before, but only using PwManager as database backend.

And PwManager is currently able to import and export its database
from and to the KWallet database. So data-exchange between KWallet
and PwManager is possible, too.
