I CC this list when I run into problems which I can't solve which I think
could be addressed by developers with more knowledge of the actual code.

The only packages that KDE is providing for RedHat are Fedora packages.
There have been various postings on the two support lists from people
trying to install them on RedHat-9.

I would again suggest that KDE offer the standard unofficial RedHat-9
packages from:

ftp://apt.kde-redhat.org/pub/apt/kde-redhat/9/RPMS.testing

since these are actually designed for RedHat-9

People have also been having problems building KDE from source on Fedora.
One poster that was also posted to this list had a specific (and very
strange) problem with GLibc. I think that it is probably the Fedora GLibc,
not his linker that is broken.

There have been a sizable number of Fedora related problems posted to the
two support lists lately. Any assistance which any developer could provide
for either of these issues would be appreciated.

Also, note that the three RPMs which I removed from my system (I downgraded
to RedHat 9):

	groff-1.18.1-29.i386.rpm
	mount-2.11y-29.i386.rpm
	procinfo-18-9.i386.rpm

There is also the possible problem that it is the GLibc itself that Fedora
is using. I have GLibc 2.3.2 built from source so I have no way to try to
reproduce the problem.

In any case, there are a sizable number of Fedora related problems and I
could use some help.
