*Why* should one say such absolutely stupid stuff?

Only an unhonest (politically thinking?) person or somebody not
knowing anything about software development at all would compare
the GTK stuff to the sophisticated Qt library.

And that's not "my humble opinion" but just a fact.

Did you ever try coding based upon GTK?
I did.
And you know what? 
I even prefer plain Xlib over GTK and its descendants!
