I'd like to contribute a screen saver from a little physical simulation 
which might be worth to be included into the KDE source.

It just uses Qt and the STL.  Please have a look at some screen shots at 
http://eulertop.sourceforge.net/krotation/index.html and review the 
source code (http://eulertop.sourceforge.net/krotation/krotation.tgz)

To compile the code within the source tree of kdeartwork just do
	cd <kde-source>/kdeartwork/kscreensaver/kdesavers
	tar xfz <some_dir>/krotation.tgz
	patch Makefile.am Makefile.am.diff
	make	# enough, if "configure" ran before
Start the screnn saver in an own window:
	./krotation.kss
or look at the (resizable) setup dialog with
	./krotation.kss -setup
