No, not at all. It's completely different.

By the way, there is an open wish list item in bugs.kde.org asking for this 
(Bug #58356 -- by the way, as far as I know, wishlists don't have to be 
confirmed). It has even links for some documentation for implementing it.

However, it seems no developer has showed interest in writing the code. If you 
are willing to do so, we'll all be thankful.
